Taiwan has been placed under the sovereignty of the Peopleâs Republic of China by the end of the Second World War. Ever since however, there have been different movements and organizations that have supported the independency of the region and which have fought to promote an independent Taiwan with a Taiwanese national identity. These organizations were situated both inside the country as well as outside the country and one of the latter was FAPA Europe. FAPA Europe was a Taiwanese association that supported the independency of Taiwan from its headquarters in Europe. Individuals who were interested in the organizationâs workings could follow news about the latest developments in the area by reading the letters to the editor published in several European newspapers. Also, one could stay updated by reading the online articles posted on the website of the association as well as the occasional press releases. These were however only some of the ways in which people could get info about FAPA Europe and its work.
